Synchronicity Celebrates Canada Day

This Canada day Sandy, Robin and a number of puppets hung out in Hackett Park at the annual post-parade craft fair, where they enjoyed face painting, live music and the company of lots of happy Canadians! The deer crossing the art farm booth was joined by a talented make up artist, Hailey, who created Sandy’s look and then opened up the booth for face painting for all. The kids loved it and requested everything from Canadian flags to dragons! Way to get creative, kids!

The other main attraction was a very special tortoise puppet, who made his way very slowly and meanderingly around all the booths, visiting everyone and everything. Along the way he met old friends, new friends, dogs, and children, and amazed everyone with his slow and steady style. He even made some interesting discoveries so close to the ground, such as a coupon for free coffee!

Now that Synchronicity festival is coming up in just two short months, we (Sandy, Robin and the tortoise) spent much of our time at the craft fair handing out flyers and encouraging people to come out to Pecha Kucha, Art in the Park, and, of course, the Rainforest Circus. With creatures like the magical tortoise in our midst, it is going to be difficult to resist!
